To protect hospital patients and staff, Lakeview Hospital has activated a visitor restriction policy during the current H1N1 infectious disease outbreak. The policy states that children under the age of 16 who are not immediate family members, or any child under the age of 5, may not visit the hospital during the outbreak. For the health and safety of everyone, all persons who are visiting a patient must be well. Those having a fever, cough, cold or runny nose, sore throat, diarrhea or vomiting should not visit. Visitors are also encouraged to wash their hands with alcohol foam or soap and water before and after visiting a patient’s room. The visitation restrictions will remain in place until otherwise notified.
