| Anticoagulation ClinicLocations: Main Campus and Somerset Clinic
The Anticoagulation Clinic is a service for patients who use Warfarin, (a blood thinner medicine). If your primary care provider feels that this service would be a benefit for you, he or she will make the referral and a nurse from the clinic will contact you to schedule your first appointment.
Patients who take Warfarin need to keep a close eye on blood levels (INR tests) in order to decrease the risk of strokes or blood clots. This clinic has been developed to do just that. The clinic is conveniently located within the Stillwater Medical Group's Main Clinic and is staffed by a registered nurse.
At each visit the nurse will test your blood by pricking your finger. She will discuss your INR level, current medications, general health, Warfarin dosing, as well as answer any questions you may have. Stillwater Medical Group developed this clinic to make managing your Warfarin easier.
